Design, Botany, and the Art of Sabi

SABI RITUAL was born at the intersection of environmental design and the quiet wisdom of botany. Rooted in a Japanese philosophy that embraces the beauty in imperfection, we believe that all things are impermanent, imperfect, and incomplete—yet profoundly beautiful in their own way.

The Philosophy | The Origin of Intent

SABI RITUAL began with a search for a slower frequency. After years of navigating the high-velocity worlds of international fashion and beauty, founder Sabine sought to build what lasts. The brand name is an homage to Sabi—the Japanese appreciation for the beauty of imperfection and the quiet dignity of time.

"I believe that the objects we surround ourselves with, and the formulas we put on our skin, should be sculptural, intentional, and made to last."

The Roots | The German Influence & Botanical Science

Immersed in the tradition of European herbalism, she discovered the profound potency of raw botanicals. This scientific curiosity, paired with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design, led her to see skincare not as a fleeting product, but as a sculptural foundation for long-term skin health.

  • Today, based in Montreal, Sabine collaborates with expert chemists to develop rituals that merge ancestral plant wisdom with modern research. The result is a high-concentration, phyto-nutrient-dense practice that embraces a slower frequency—honoring the passage of time and favoring heritage staples designed to age with grace and longevity.
